Tips and Tricks to Permanent Weight Loss
You want it and you want it now. You don’t just want to lose weight, you want permanent weight loss. However, you find it nearly impossible because you are bombarded with fast food restaurants on every corner. The supermarket is overflowing with gluten-free, sugar-free, fat-free, and carb-free options that don’t seem to help your weight issues.
Obesity is growing at an alarming rate, despite all the “health food” options and fitness centers popping up. There are thousands of diet programs and diet pills to choose from. Turn on the television at any given time and you are bombarded with infomercial’s marketing the latest exercise machine to get you lean and fit.
The exercise ads focus on weight loss, but they don’t mention how to achieve true and permanent weight loss. True weight loss is a combination of health and wellness, and it is created in a balance of nutrition and exercise, not a pill or a piece of aluminum that gives you washboard abs. Permanent weight loss is a loss of body fat and the ability to build lean muscle tissue.
Most overweight people are completely confused about how to really lose body fat. Magazine ads and commercials keep you in the dark. The more confused you are, the more likely you will buy into the latest product. Doesn’t that make you angry? Aren’t you tired of being lied to?
Successful, true, and permanent weight loss is not that difficult once you understand a few basics and implement them correctly. The basics are nutrition and exercise. Yes, it’s that simple. Nutrition is what nourishes our bodies to function, to build muscle and to lose fat. If your diet and exercise are not in order, then you will never be successful at true or permanent weight loss.
Real Nutrition to Shed the Fat
To lose weight, your nutrition should not consist of carb-friendly sandwiches and low-carb warps at the corner drive-thru. These mouth-watering and eye-pleasing low-carb goodies may seem healthy, but they are actually causing weight gain in the long run. These wraps and sandwiches are marketing health, wellness, and weight loss to you, but they actually do the opposite. These “healthy fast food” items are okay to eat once in a while, but having them more than twice a week will juts keep you spinning your wheels.
Nutrition for permanent weight loss starts whole and natural food. Organic choices would benefit you the most. HelpGuide.org tells us, “Organic foods provide a variety of benefits. Some studies show that organic foods have more beneficial nutrients, such as antioxidants, than their conventionally grown counterparts. In addition, people with allergies to foods, chemicals, or preservatives often find their symptoms lessen or go away when they eat only organic foods.” Your body can actually use real and organic food for building purposes and energy. These foods get used, not stored as body fat. The more you eat real food, the faster you will lose body fat. Make real foods the staple of your nutrition program. Eat the food Mother Nature provides.
Working Out to Drop the Pounds
Working out is another great way to achieve permanent weight loss. You need to incorporate a fitness program that you will engage in continually. Sporadic exercising only when you feel like it just isn’t going to cut it when it comes to dropping body fat. You have to create a plan and you have to follow it, no matter what. Your workouts don’t have to be The Biggest Loser marathons. The key to successful and permanent weight loss with workouts is consistency, variety, and progression.
Stick with your workouts for 3 weeks, just 21 days and I promise you that you will see changes. When you do see those changes, you’ll be more eager to workout and stick to your nutrition and exercise program. When you are consistent, the weight will start melting off like hot butter and you’ll finally feel great about yourself.
