Be A Loser to Be a Winner
To be a loser is to lose body fat and keep your lean muscle mass. I work with a lot of ladies who are trying to lose weight and maintain lean muscle tissue. Although many women want this very badly, they often lack motivation, focus, and direction. If you want to lose fat and keep it off, a lifestyle change is necessary. This does not have to be brutal, just simple and gradual changes each week can make all the difference.
Below are some steps you can follow to keep you on the path of progression and be a loser. Choose an exercise you enjoy or make it enjoyable. If you don’t like swimming, then don’t go swimming. There are hundreds of other cardio options you can choose to meet your exercise needs. Make it fun by bringing along a friend or listening to your favorite music.
Commit
Be committed to your program. Create a program schedule and follow it. No ifs, ands, or buts. Jonathan Long, Founder and CEO, Market Domination Media states, “Those that don’t truly want success make excuses.” Those who are successes make no excuses. They just get the job done.
Control Focus
Don’t focus on scale weight. Muscle and fat are two completely different tissues. They weigh the same. Muscle takes up a lot less space than fat does. Don’t make the scale your weight loss tool.
Monitor
To be a loser you need to monitor your body composition to ensure you are losing body fat and not lean muscle tissue. Taking weekly stats will keep you on the path of progress, as it enables you to make necessary adjustments each week.
Limit
Limit or omit the smoking and drinking. These are unhealthy habits and have no place in a fitness or fat loss lifestyle. Adopt healthy traits to keep you moving forward.
Prepare
Prepare your own fresh and natural meals. Forget about the processed, boxed, and canned items that are loaded with nitrates, sodium, sugar, and other chemicals. These will only stall your weight loss endeavors.
Pump Iron
Lifting weight is the best thing you can do for fat loss, as it increases your basal metabolic rate, allowing you to burn more calories at rest and play. Developed muscles will create curves and shape too.
Avoid Quick Fixes
Don’t fall prey to the latest quick fix or fad diet. If they actually worked, no one would be overweight. The only thing quick fixes do is rid the body of water weight, muscle, and bone. In the end, you will slow down your metabolism and add body fat.
Educate
To be a loser you need to educate yourself on fat loss and general fitness. Learn about nutrition and exercise so you don’t have to be dependent on the latest diet trend.
Balance Diet
Eat a balanced diet, consisting of protein, carbohydrates, non-starchy vegetables, fruit, and essential fat. Go back to basics and forget the refined sugar and trans fatty stuff. If it’s man-made, it won’t give you the body you deserve.
Attitude
To be a loser you have a positive attitude and smile.
