Have you fallen off your weight-loss wagon? Have you lost motivation and energy? Has the weight you lost crept back on, and now you feel completely helpless, out of control and don't know how to get started again?
If you answered, "yes" to any of the above, then what you need is a fresh start and some guidance in the right direction. I'm not talking about a full-blown fitness routine, just some daily activity to get your blood circulating again and get you moving forward on the right path.
Setting Goals
The first place to start is by setting goals. You should determine some short-term goals, a 3-month vision, as well as your long-term goal, what you want to accomplish ultimately. This doesn't have to be long and detailed. In fact, you should make it simple so it is easily attainable.
Make your goals direct and attainable and be sure to put them in writing. The more detailed you can make your goals the more likely it will be for you to accomplish them.
Those of you who have purchased my eBooks, How to Lose Weight; FOREVER!, Iron Dolls, and The Competitive Edge, have the entire "Setting Goals" chapter to get you started. Read over it and get renewed and rejuvenated!

Nutrition
The second obstacle that needs to be tackled is your nutrition. What you eat on a daily basis will either make you or break you in the weight-loss game. You should be eating to feed your body. I cannot stress enough how important food combining is. Not only is what you eat important, but also what you combine it with.
Portion control is another factor. You should eat, but only what your body needs to function on and to fuel any added activities. Five to six small meals a day are better digested and utilized than three large meals. Losing weight is not about starving yourself. You should eat and you should eat until you are satisfied. This means you have to listen to your body and perhaps stop in the middle of a meal if necessary to prevent overeating.
Many are unaware that they can eat carbohydrates and still lose weight. This does not mean gorge on them, but rather use the carb-cycling method discussed in How To Lose Weight; FOREVER. This is a method I use when dieting down for competitions and it is proven to work!

Exercise
Your final obstacle is exercise. This includes cardiovascular as well as resistance training. Cardio will burn calories and fat, give you energy, and produce a feeling of europhia. It will also help pull you through that rough spot by keeping you active daily and increasing your metabolism.
Cardio in the form of walking is incredibly beneficial to the mind, body, and spirit. Walking can lessen the chances of breast cancer, Type II diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis. An hour stroll or brisk walk can do wonders in dropping body fat.
Walking can also fight depression, improve circulation, promote weight loss, improve sleep, and boost the immune system. It can literally be the fountain of youth, health, and weight control you have been searching for.
You don't have to begin a walking program at 7 hours a week, just 30 minutes every other day can make all the difference in the world! The idea is to get up and get moving. Once you can easily walk 30 minutes 3 times a week, add some minutes or add a day, focus on progression.
One way to begin your walking program is to find a walking buddy. Make it fun. Having someone along to chat with can take your mind off things and allow you to enjoy the stroll and catch up on the latest gossip! What better way to kill two birds with one stone?
Another walking program you can do within the comfort of your very own home is Walk Away the Pounds. This is a great cardiovascular program to get you started on the healthier, younger, and thinner you.
Remember, goals combined with action will result in obtaining your dreams!
